Dr Nesha Beharry-Borg is Lecturer in Water Resource Management in the School of Earth and Environment and, as a water@leeds appointee, is a key member of the water@leeds management board. Dr Beharry-Borg’s main area of research interest is environmental economics.
Her current research focuses on economic valuation of environmental resources. In particular, Dr Beharry-Borg’s recent work is on methodological issues relating to the development of non-market valuation techniques (in particular discrete choice experiments) and the application of non-market valuation techniques to a range of policy relevant environmental issues, including water, agriculture and land use, tourism and climate change. Dr Beharry-Borg has a longstanding interest in and considerable experience of working on natural resource management issues in the Caribbean region.
